Catching Up | Cedric and Baileywick

Cedric had sent multiple letters to the Princess after his time of leave for the past 3 months; It was absurd that he was already being summoned back to "report in" after such a short period of time. A complete waste; His communications clearly stated that he was alive and at least in decent health. And to not even invite him back to the castle? Oh - He was offended for sure. At the very least he could stir his drink with a magical turn of his finger without the feeling in the back of his head that somebody secretly wished to burn him on a stake for witchcraft. Forget about France. France never happened. At the very least they could have at the minimum said who was going to be greeting him; It was probably his father. They knew just as well as he did he wouldn't have shown if they said it was the old coot. Cedric was in no mood to deal with the man's pestering nad degrading tone after well...France. Forget. France.

Attempting to push his anxiety aside he'd use his fork to cut into the slice of chocolate cake he'd purchased for the wait; He was early - Just in case it was who he hoped it wouldn't be. No need to add fuel to the fire. No sense in waiting on an empty stomach.
