The stuttering voice of Buster Beaver continued to repeat in his head, over and over. He had to face his fears. With a concealed sigh, and a final glance at the street behind him, he pushed into the apartment building where he knew his former leader was staying.

He didn't want to fight. He knew he'd likely lose. He'd barely escaped Nicaragua with his heart still beating after their last encounter. What he had hoped would be the last time he'd ever see him. Knowing what happened to other Payback members...Crimson Countess...The TNT Twins...Mindstorm; he could only hope that if his old boss was going to kill him, he'd make it fast.

But Noir had been babysitting his bastard son for the last nearly forty years, and he felt like that was penance enough.

"Baby. Wanda. I love you more then life itself, but you cannot tell me in good faith that you sent that nude by accident. You know that I'm at a press event and you did it on purpose." He blows a kiss on the video he sends back. "I'm gonna have to have a little chat with you when I see you next. You should be real proud of me, I worked out how to use the phone to check it."

Wanda watched over the video she received from him before letting out a small giggle. She quickly turned her camera on, recording a quick message back to him. “Well what can I say? I miss having you around. I hope that you’re enjoying your press event and I’ll see you when you get home. And I’m real proud of you I promise.” With that, she sent the video off and sat her phone down.

Ben aka Soldier Boy was really happy with Wanda. She was everything that Crimson Countess wasn’t. Though he hadn’t even thought about her since he had met Wanda at Supes event, that he had been told by Vought to go to. It was their first public outing and though he had been giving talking points, he had rejected it outwardly. It was enough to be micromanaged but his relationship was off limits to Vought talking points.

So back to the present the interviewer was very interested to speak to them about their relationship, he had prepared for this and gone over what Wanda and he thought would be best to say but she had also said be yourself which he had never really heard before from anyone he dated. So he was smiling when the first question came to him.

“I think that Superheroes are just like anyone else, they have ups and downs in life and then they get back up. Wanda is someone who has helped me with my past and I look forward to exploring our future together.” He put an arm around her waist as he heard the next question to her was a bit curlier. He hated when the press did that. Give her a fair question too.

“Come on now, reframe the question better. You guys are better then that.”

Wanda hadn’t been looking for love when she had met Ben at the SupeCon. She had heard of him, had heard of his story but this had been the first time she had met him face to face. They seemed to hit it off straight away and before she knew it, they were a couple and deeply in love with each other. Vought though, were another thing entirely.

Red carpet events was something new to her. She had been to a few evening events with the Avengers, but that had only really involved having a couple drinks while talking to potential investors. So walking a red carpet with her new boyfriend, she couldn’t help but be nervous by it all. Ben was great however, keeping her close so she could relax. Walking up to the first interviewer, she glanced up at him before turning her attention to the other.

“Hey it’s alright,” she smiled, giving him a small squeeze. “But I would like to say that, I also am looking forward to spending time with my partner tonight. He’s really made me feel special.”

Cheryl hadn’t been coming to this bar for very long, but she was sure she’d never seen this man before.

He stood out from a crowd. He was probably the most handsome man she’d ever seen, with a classic chiseled profile. He was well-built, and he seemed strangely confused, as if he wasn’t quite sure where he was.

Trying to appear subtle (and failing), she sidled over to the table where he said, drink in hand. “You look lost,” she mused out loud, giving a shy wave.
