Via @deadline Another major loss for Alien fans this year “If you knew David, you knew he was special,” said director Walter Hill, his longtime writing and producing partner. “The magic of his personality is hard to describe: funny, angry, extremely knowledgeable, extremely well read; it was my privilege to write and produce with him, and more importantly, to have his close and deep friendship for nearly 50 years.” - Jeff Sanderson Giler’s screenwriting credits include The Parallax View (1974), Fun With Dick And Jane (1977) and The Money Pit (1986). He has writing or story credits for both Aliens (1986) and Aliens 3 (1992), and was a producer of the original Alien (1979) and its seven sequels, up to 2017’s Alien: Covenant (though his and Walter Hill’s involvement lessened in the later sequels). posted on Instagram - https://instagr.am/p/CJEyIo-gPEK/
On the topic of Watergate, I just got a first edition of the White House Transcripts!
WHAAAAAAAAT THAT'S SO COOL
As mutual 1 in that post, I feel legally obligated to follow you.
🤝🏻 welcome to my weird little talking place
It’s actually a reference to the title of a 1974 political thriller by Alan J. Pakula! (Which is my favorite film.)
puts it into my "to watch" list and hopes the AuDHD committee in my brain lets me watch it. praying the "political thriller" works as a pspspsps
Predictions for Succession season 4?
If they go in the direction they've been building up to, I would love a season in which the crown prince of the United States tries to become a "regular" person, somehow, while being surrounded by all the intrigues and drama of being the crown prince of the United States, and then realizes that nope, it's literally impossible and he needs to just embrace the power he's been handed
(Also, obviously, we need to see more of Cousin Greg. A new pumpkin with a pumpkin face, that's all I'm saying)
