Shoutout to @rebelliouscupid/@thephoenix-witch/@trulyxcharmed. Mandi does an amazing job running three different blogs and bringing life to canon muses that the Charmed fandom doesn't appreciate enough. Parker, Bianca, and the Morris family (as well as others on her multimuse) are fantastic and deserve all the followers. 11/10, would definitely recommend.

Hmm, I think the SPN fandom's a little older than 12, if only cause the show can be rather dark. But, yeah, I get what you're saying, cause I know that I only knew about Charmed cause of reruns when I was like five. Ughhh, I know, they seemed so interesting!

Yeah, I mean the first few seasons of Charmed were darker than the later ones, but SPN is just... Death and misery and seconds of happiness. (When I said a spin off would be less dark, I more meant less darkness-induced audience apathy. ..Yes, I spend too much time on TV Tropes.) I would just love, so much, to see that!! It'd be awesome.

No worries, I am also very Salty about this and Bitter. I’m a Bitter, Salty person. *sigh* I also have a feeling that we know opposite fans, lol, but that’s probably cause I only know like two people in the SPN fandom.

Ok, I was kinda exaggerating a little but given how the online SPN fandom acts... (and there probably are 12-year-olds who are fans of the show)

And yeah, SPN was originally a horror series but... agreed on the Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy (I spend too much time on TV Tropes as well). I don’t even really watch the show anymore bc 1) away at college and no TV in my dorm room and 2) I just... don’t really care about the latest seasons (though I do want to watch the Scooby-Doo crossover episode bc I’m curious and love Scooby and this really isn’t even anything new for Scooby-Doo considering they’ve teamed up with Batman & Robin, the Addams Family, had a crossover with Johnny Bravo, the Harlem Globetrotters, Josie and the Pussycats, KISS, the recent WWE movies, etc. And, y’know, those times where the monsters actually were real.)

But like... in general the online SPN fandom is one hot toxic mess and I tend to stay far, far away from it aside from reblogging the occasional gifset and following a very select few in the SPN RP community. You’ve got shippers of all sorts at each others’ throats, the fandom in general hijacking non-fandom related posts on a constant basis (and it’s really freaking annoying), Destiel shippers hijacking posts from their own fandom and putting their crap in literally every tag associated with SPN which pisses off other shippers, fans of specific characters, and general fans. And then there’s people that just Do Not Respect any of the actors at all and will harass Jensen and Jared (dunno about Misha), and will keep asking Jensen questions about Destiel even when 1) it’s obvious it makes him extremely uncomfortable and 2) he’s flat-out stated that he does not like Destiel, the ship doesn’t even exist within the show’s canon, and that he does not play Dean that way (i.e. being secretly in love with Cass). I think some have sent death threats? And do not get me started on how the batshit insane RPS shippers treat the guys’ wives. Y’know. The women they’ve actually married and created families with.

Very tangentially related: I side-eye anyone so VERY HARD who says that SPN queerbaits. This is the show that has made the ABRAHAMIC GOD HIMSELF Bisexual, had multiple homosexual couples in the background that are open about being gay and/or lesbian, has had an actual recurring lesbian hunter (Charlie), a pansexual demon (Crowley) and people still insist it queerbaits because Dean Winchester (a firmly heterosexual man) and Castiel (a most-likely asexual angel in a human meatsuit) are not jumping each other’s bones AND the writers have said that they have never written Dean and Castiel to be in a romantic/sexual relationship and it isn’t ever going to happen.

Not necessarily related to this, but I absolutely love that mental image of Chris just staring at someone he finds suspicious and informs his family, “I’m gonna vanquish them.” and everyone else is like “Chris, NO” and Chris is “Chris, YES” (I’m sorry, I know this has literally nothing to do with the topic, but I just love that mental image soooo much, I felt the need to share it.

Excuse me while I die laughing at that mental image. :D

I still want ittttt. But, I mean, outside of the general premise being two brothers hunting demons as “the family business,” it wouldn’t even be the same. Chris and Wyatt have magical powers, stay in Halliwell Manor/one place, and also have personal lives outside of demon hunting. If producers would look at the differences, I think it would actually stand a chance. Especially considering that it’d be great to have a show that focuses on two demon hunting brothers that

isn’t filled with over the top angst and every single person dying. I mean, I’d assume a Chris and Wyatt spin-off would also focus on their personal lives, so less of a chance for pure misery and stuff that would probably actually make it popular. *sigh* A girl can dream, I guess.

True, but the crazy part of the Super.natural fandom would probably see only the basic similarities/general premise and start freaking out. And I’m not sure how many of them even know about Charmed and the sisters and Chris and Wyatt in the first place, considering, y'know... *waves hand* 12 - 16-year-olds that grew up with Sp.n.

Though I really like the idea of Chris and Wyatt having their own loft/apartment away from the Manor. And the first season of Charmed did have the sisters dealing with murders and kidnappings and whatnot. also Piper and Phoebe died more than once. And I still miss Andy.

But yes I am also here for a Chris & Wyatt spin-off focusing on their personal lives while they hunt demons and deal with the Elders’ brand of BS and just... give me my two witchlighter sons practicing witchcraft and snarking at each other and kicking demon ass, please and thanks.
