I vividly remember reading the fanfic in middle school--and I never forgot the story. Wouldn't that be one hell of a thread?

By the way--there's a fanfic rec. At least, middle school me would recommend it. I remember it was pretty cool, but I don't think I'll reread it right now. Either way, I thought you all would enjoy the info!

Halloween

Alaula fidgeted and ran her finger across the sharp fang in her mouth. She had managed to forsake most of what her Uncle had tried to foist upon her on this holiday but she couldn't avoid it all and so to keep the peace she had agreed to the fangs. Sighing she closed her mouth and ran her fingers nervously across her phone. A few weeks - nearly a month and this date that had seemed so exciting in the beginning had loomed in her mind until she was more nervous about this than anything else in her life.

Biting her lip the teeth digging in she stood and began to pace. He would call - wouldn't he?

Mmmmmmm || Fitz and Ned

2:47pm, Monday. Fitz had been guided by his stomach to a place that looked like it might have the sweets he needed. Today was one of those not-good-but-not-bad-either days, where his ears seemed to ring constantly, a hallucination walked beside him, and his speech was distant if there at all. But he was aware, at least, that it was a hallucination, that he needed to eat and to take his tablets, and that food was probably something he needed, even if he wasn't really in the mood to be nutritionally appropriate.

He pushed open the door and took in the sights and smells. Admittedly, all the colours of the shirts on the other customers and the décor itself was a bit overwhelming, not to mention in stark contrast to his navy blue and denim, and for a moment, he looked almost dazed.

"Oh, wow, Fitz," the hallucination declared excitedly. "That apple pie smells absolutely gorgeous, doesn't it?"

"Yeah, bu' I hope they've got, ehm...the..."

"Key lime? Probably, no good bakery would be complete without a key lime pie. Or lemon bars, while we're on the subject of citrus."

"Or cheesecake," Fitz added, seeing someone who looked quite probably like an employee approach.

Don't I know you? // Ned and Kate

Kate could be known for her sarcasm and playful attitude, but when it came to business she was as professional as anyone else. So when Clint told her to investigate the crime scene of the latest hit on their out of town mission, she put up no argument.

She went to work as a good Super-investigator would, taking notes and pictures, scanning the crowds for suspicious people. She didn't see anyone that stood out as a suspect, but she did see someone who stood out. A very tall, very lanky, very awkward man walking onto the scene. 

She was very certain he was the man who owned the pie shop. And that begged the question, what was a pie maker doing hovering over a dead body. 

She walked up to him and stood there for a moment, watching him from behind to see if he was there because he knew the victim. No tears, not even upset, he wasn't there for personal reasons. So she had to ask. 

"Pie guy?" She stepped forward and leaned down in front of his lign of sight where he was staring at the cadaver.

Lina wishes she could have her father back. Moreover she wishes she could be strong like him and save people. She looks up to her dad a lot.

☢:something my muse is afraid of

two things in no particular order: failure and demons. Everything else falls on the scale of slightly uncomfortable to major panic mode. Kind of like Ned, she often feels uneasy about everything, and is nervous when she's not nervous about something.

☂:what my muse does on a rainy day

Depending on her mood she will either stay in the house and take care of her pet turtle Kame, or she will go walking in the rain. Often it depends on how intense the rain is. She's not crazy enough to go out in a thunderstorm. Blanket forts are also an option.

"Whenever papa would come home, he would always find me. No matter where I was, he would always pick me up and hug me really tight. Often he would spend time with me for as long as he could. Even though he was tired and sometimes sad because of work, he would still come home and smile at me. I miss papa's smile most. It was really bright and happy. Papa has to be a good memory. He was never sad or angry."
