A Good Girls Guide To: my everything shower routine ‧₊˚ ⋅♡⋆.

a good girls guide to the perfect wind down routine for a Sunday night, after a long day of shopping, or if you simply need some rest and relaxation ⋆ ˚｡𖦹 ⋆｡

˚⋆𐙚｡ STEP 1 : turn on the shower and make sure its super warm, but i don’t like it scalding hot. maybe turn on some music too !!

˚⋆𐙚｡ STEP 2 : hop into the shower and make sure all of your hair and all of your body is wet, as you don’t want to miss a spot while washing.

˚⋆𐙚｡ STEP 3 : start with a deep shampoo , ONLY ON THE SCALP! this helps rinse your hair of the grease and oils and you only need to focus on the scalp as when its being rinsed it will wash the ends. then rinse thoroughly and repeat a second time.

˚⋆𐙚｡ STEP 4 : once all of the shampoo is rinsed, you want to wring out the water from the ends of your hair and apply conditioner / a hair mask. DO NOT RINSE!

˚⋆𐙚｡ STEP 5 : next you want to wash your body for the first time. the first time around i’d recommend using a body wash that has skin benefits over one that smells better. if you have dry skin, use body wash catered towards that and if you have strawberry legs, use one catered to that and etc. make sure to really clean everywhere!

˚⋆𐙚｡ STEP 6 : take a sugar scrub and scrub everywhere you plan on shaving. rinse, then begin lathering on shaving cream to wherever you shave! i recommend using a disposable mens razor for shaving, i like the ones bic makes. then, begin shaving wherever needed!

˚⋆𐙚｡ STEP 7 : after shaving, now is when you want to rinse your hair mask or conditioner. make sure to rinse thoroughly as any left over conditioner will make your hair appear greasy and heavy.

˚⋆𐙚｡ STEP 8 : now you want to wash your body with the smell good body wash. make sure you wash everywhere you shaved and every where else.

˚⋆𐙚｡ STEP 9 : turn off the water, step out of the shower, and wrap up in a plush robe.

A Good Girls Guide To: a glowy morning skincare routine!

hello angels ! welcome back to a good girls guide to ! today is a good girls guide to a glowy morning skincare routine !! this is the perfect routine for a base for makeup or when you want that glowy no-makeup look. (this one is a long one, buckle up tehe)

MORNING SKINCARE - a good, glowy morning skincare is the base and beginning of beautiful, luminous skin. in the morning, you want to keep it simple but hydrating.

˚⋆𐙚｡ STEP 1 : cleansing. for this there are two options ! one is washing your face. many people do this, and while it works for them it doesn’t work for everyone. the alternative option is hypochlorous acid spray. this is almost like hand sanitizer for your face. to be honest, you just need to find which better suits your skin. for me personally, its the hypochlorous acid spray. my recommendation is the tower28 sos spray! anyways, cleansing removes all of the gunk from your face that was left over from the night before and any that you may have gained overnight.

˚⋆𐙚｡ STEP 2 : next is toner, the most underrated step. toners do so much for the skin yet a lot of people don’t use them. they remove the remaining impurities that cleansing didn’t quite get, they hydrate the skin, prep the skin to better absorb other products, and balances the skins pH after being disrupted by cleanser. toner is a crucial step, especially in the morning. if you really want soft, glowy skin a milky toner is the way to go. i like the one by the ordinary and the rhode glazing milk, and i’ve seen others love the one by thayers. just depends on what your skin wants!

˚⋆𐙚｡ STEP 3 : serums! serums are more for actual benefits rather than glowy skin, but depending on the serum you can still achieve it. i recommend using targeted serums, meaning they’re specific to your skin concerns and skin type. for example, i have a lot of acne scars and hyperpigmentation, so i use a discoloration correcting serum by byoma. you should really look deeply at your skin, find any concerns, and research serums that can help.

˚⋆𐙚｡ STEP 4 : eye cream ! this step is the most optional in our morning routine. this is great if you have eye bags, dry under eyes, or puffy under eyes. along with the eye cream itself, you can use eye patches or an ice roller over it to really enhance its features. eye cream helps hydrate the under eyes skin and reduce concerns like dark circles, wrinkles, and puffiness. i use one by first aid that also has shimmer in it to give a glowy under eye.

˚⋆𐙚｡ STEP 5 : lastly, you want to use moisturizer. in the morning i recommend a thin but hydrating lotion, as it probably won’t have as much time to set into the face rather than at night. moisturizer is the ultimate lock down product, making sure that all of the products you’ve already put on are locked in. this also hydrates the skin making it effortlessly glowy and a perfect base for makeup.

˚⋆𐙚｡ RANDOM TIPS :

- make sure to wait 15-20 mins after skincare to put makeup on

- use skincare that is catered to your skin concerns

- DRINK WATER !

just took an everything shower, brushed my teeth, got into my leopard print pajamas, lathered on body lotion, applied a collagen face mask, brushed my hair and applied my after-shower hair treatments, did my skincare after my mask, and climbed into a nice heated bed with my ice cold water next to me ₊˚⊹ ᰔ
