The end of any year is a popular time to look back and reflect. But I don’t blame you if you’d rather not look back or reflect on 2017. It seems a particularly wretched year, marked by devastating natural disasters, earthquakes, hurricanes, mass shootings and refugees fleeing persecution, #metoo, gender and race relations at a fevered pitch — not to mention so many 'called' elections #curaçaomuch and politicians choosing fear as their rallying cry or the craving for role models and empowered leaders in the world.
