#ThePreakness Cloud Computing wins 142nd Preakness Stakes There will not be a Triple Crown winner in horse racing in 2017. Cloud Computing, who was pegged as a 13-1 underdog Saturday, came back on the home stretch to win the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Track, overcoming favorites Always Dreaming and Classic Empire. Cloud Computing won the race with a time of 1:55.98, narrowly edging out Classic Empire. Kentucky Derby champion, and favorite to win, Always Dreaming burst out of the gate alongside Classic Empire. Leading most of the way, Always Dreaming faded near the end finishing in eighth, seemingly paving the way for Classic Empire to take home the trophy. But it wasn't to be.
