The hickey had appeared on his neck last night. The demigod had spent the night at his boyfriend’s cabin. Nico was well aware that the mark on his neck was still very visible, but he tried to brush it off as nothing.

"I don’t know what you’re talking about." he said as he watched the glass he had in his hand and avoiding his father’s eyes.

Hades rolled his eyes, gaze still planted firmly on his son. Raising a pale hand and extended a solitary finger towards Nico's neck. "I'm sure you don't. It's not as though it's blatantly obvious, and your demeanour screams of guilt. I am not angry, Nico. I simply want to know who the culprit is."

Hades knew he had no right to interrogate his son about his love life; or life at all, for that matter. Nico did not want to hear it, regardless of Hades' true intentions. But, as a man who had had two daughters whilst surrounded by the Olympians, he had grown weary of the company his children had.

And so he would feel the same about Nico.

Glancing over the edge of his cup, Hades peered at his son through narrowed eyes. "Your attempts to cover that up were in vain. Where did you get it, hmm?"
