Odin held Balder in his arms as Loki and Thor walked on either side of him , listening to a story he was sharing with them about Midgard. The young boys were cheerful and hanging on his every word until walking down the street Odin's eye fell on a woman that was soon approaching . He opened the Bifrost and send the boys home "You are unwelcome in my presence , Fárbauti" he said firmly , ready to summon his Gungir if necessary.

Headcanon: How Farbauti Got What She Wanted

It has always been customary for the Iron Wood’s leader to be part of a council of advisers for the king and queen of Jotunheim. Angrboda, being the new chieftess of the Iron Wood, goes in as a young woman and quickly learns how the council works and even begins to pull her own weight as quickly as she could. After a few years of being a leader and an adviser, she grows close with the Queen and even becomes a close confidant of Farbauti's. 

After years of knowing each other, Farbauti plots to make Angrboda her daughter-in-law, thinking that she would be the perfect wife for one of her sons (she later decides to try and pair up Angrboda and Helblindi). The queen begins to hint at a royal marriage, implying that the kind of woman she wants for her elder son to wed would be much like Angrboda. Of course, the witch is no fool and immediately interjected with her claim of not wishing for marriage. She thought the queen's elder son to be anything but her type of Jotunn, anyhow. No more is said on the subject after that day, though the queen keeps scheming and trying to see how she can make what she wanted a reality.

It isn't until many years later, after Angrboda is already a mother, that the sorceress realizes that Loki is the lost son of Farbauti and Laufey. And it isn't too soon after that moment that she remembers what Far had wanted for her, and realizes that the queen got what she wanted after all. It just did not happen the way any of them had imagined.

Loki had escaped the Asgardian cell that once held him so tightly, the guards looked all over the palace but hope was small, Loki was a master sorcerer and even weakened he could still teleport himself away. Thor left Asgard in a hurry swearing to bring him back.

He looked all over the realms for him, someone had seen him on Midgard but the trace went cold quick. Having looked for him in every corner of the realm he went to the last place anyone would look, the exile place of Loki's mother. "Greetings Fárbauti " he wished her with a light bow of his head "I am here looking for your son, have you caught word of him? Do not like to me " he said and looked at her
