Can I ask, what's OTW racism? I'm trying to think of what the acronym could stand for but I'm drawing blanks

You absolutely can ask and I'm glad you did! OTW stands for Organization for Transformative Works, which is the organization that runs AO3. The "end OTW racism" campaign is an effort to get AO3 to implement policies against racist harrassment that they had announced they would in 2020, but still haven't. Those policies would be: hiring a diversity consultant, having a content policy on work that is used to spread racist harrassment, and taking into account off-site harrassment when analyzing whether or not a work is being used as means of harrassment.

@therainbowgorilla You betcha! It’s a headcanon of mine, but Carlos is also pretty explicitly autistic in canon! Especially with something from the second novel which I’ll put under a cut for spoilers:

In It Devours! there’s one scene where they talk about Carlos being touch sensitive and not always liking to be touched. So that combined with him having a pretty obvious special interest as well as being described as stimming several times throughout the podcast, I consider it canon and intentional!

What’s crosstagging?

Let’s say, for example, you want to make a post about how you don’t like a show for whatever reasons.  So you make a post about how much you personally think that show sucks.

Crosstagging would be if you tagged the post with the name of show, so people going into the show’s tag for fun content regarding the show or whatever see your post about how much the show sucks.  This is generally regarded as a dick move.  (This also applies to things like shipping and ship names, which is more often what happens when people talk about crosstagging, but I figured a show would be a more general thing to use as a reference)

Unfortunately, Tumblr’s search function is so busted that if you go through search instead of manually typing in the tag’s url like I mentioned in that post, the post about how much the show sucks would go into the search for the show, since the name of it is in the body of the post.

Even if the post isn’t tagged at all.
