Why I love teaching Yoga
I have the best students in the world. I am not even sucking up.
Most people including myself come to Yoga because something is up. Either physically, mentally or emotionally. Once we start to practice like any detox everything must rise to the surface before we rid ourselves of this.
Due to my specific teaching style (I do not teach gymnastics even though I love them) I tend to get an older clientele or a clientele who are attending for therapeutic benefit.
Many of my students have ailments, injuries, have been through countless surgeries such as hip replacement or invasive cancer treatments. I even have a few gentlemen who come to build neuron-pathways to help treat their neural disorders such as Parkinson's and MS.
I love my students. Watching them to what their bodies will allow them, the look of concentration and determination. It is so amazing to watch individuals change and grow. We are all on our own journey but there is something about everyone working peacefully beside eachother as we all struggle through the moments challenges.
Every morning when I wake up I start the day by thinking of at LEAST five things I am grateful for. We do this as the beginning of every class I teach.
I am always grateful for my students, for joining me on my journey and for allowing me to be a part of theirs.
