Ridel and Minfilia had gotten together after the events of A Realm Reborn, but with concern that it would be seen as "the leader of the Scions fraternizing with a Warrior of Light" to outside alliances, their relationship was never to be revealed to the public.

And so their love was kept a secret. They enjoyed their brief time in each other's company, hidden from the rest of the world...
