     “Mhm.” Hermione mumbled a barely audible response, briefly considering to just hexing him back to sleep. She was used to being up late at night to study or doing other things, but when she was asleep she liked to stay asleep.

     “Why are you awake?” She finally mumbled again after clearing her throat and cracking an eye open. “It´s the middle of the night.”

       Hermione glanced up at him, a chuckle falling from her lips at his words. She most definitely enjoyed the way he was playing with her hair, but she had not been expecting THAT.

     “One butterbeer and you´re already drunk?” She then teased. “What else am I going to find out about you?”

Soulmate AU - Randomly Generated for @therealpendragon ♘: Soulmates have matching birthmarks

There were times that Morgana did not knock before entering Arthur’s chambers. Most often the reasons were either because she was fuming over something or if she knew that he’d been hurt. This time it was the latter. Of course, he got injured all the time, but she worried every time. When she entered, he was peeling off his shirt, ready to get the wound inspected no doubt. She noted some blood on his shoulder, he’d had worst. “You are so reckless at times, you know that?” she questioned, moving to the water basin and dipping a rag in it. Morgana made her way over to Arthur and began gently wiping the blood away. Luckily, as she noted earlier, it wasn’t a terrible wound. 

As she finished cleaning up around the wound, she noted a small mark near it that was not a part of the wound. It looked a bit like a crescent. Oddly, she’d never noticed it before. She had seen the mark before, however, on her own shoulder. She noticed it one day in her mirror. It was said that soulmates had matching birthmarks. She’d witnessed it herself, with Gwen and Merlin. Though theirs were on their forearms. But surely, that couldn’t be the case here. They must be only similar and not identical. She subconsciously ran a finger across the birthmark. “I never noticed this before,” she commented.

Morgana rushed out of her chambers, almost running into Arthur in the process. “Arthur,” she said. “Honestly, you should watch where you’re going,” the woman told him. It had been her fault truly, but not bantering with him would certainly make him suspicious. 

As much as she needed to go and talk to Gaius, she couldn’t very well just brush him off. “What are you doing anyways? Don’t you have more important things to do than just wandering about?” she questioned.
