"Dang it, I am going to be late for work," Sookie muttered, fast walking as best as she could down the trail to lead her to the other side of Bon Temps. Sam might not appreciate her being late, but she was trying her best. Yet, her best might be her death as she heard the snap of twigs on the ground. She glance down and found her foot had not stomped on the twigs. Sookie wanted to call who was out there, but it was better to just run than to ask the big scary murderers if they were hiding in the bushes.
