37. Any band you thought you wouldn't like, but did once you gave it a chance?YES. Coheed and Cambria. When I first saw the "Welcome Home" music video, I was like, "Eh, I dunno about this." And then I picked up their album and fucking LOVED it.
42. Video Game music vs Movie soundtrack?Video game music 100%.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (Some of these are based on my Pottermore stuff! I can be found there as LeviosaOwl12372. Put under a cut because it’s 51 questions.)
1. What house will you be in?
Hufflepuff! I disagreed with this sorting at first since I convinced myself I was a Ravenclaw, and I actually hatstalled Ravenpuff.
2. If the sorting hat was on you and it said you’d be great in a house you didn’t consider before, will you follow his advice or choose what house you want?
Like I said, I disagreed with the Hufflepuff sorting (not to mention the fact that I look AWFUL in yellow). But I have come to embrace the sorting. The ‘puffs are truly my people.
3. What kind of animal would you bring to school?
I’mma bring a hamster or something. Unless they let me bring my dog! Which they won’t. I’m allergic to cats. I’ll stick to my magic hamster.
4. If you were in class, where would you normally sit?
Front and center. If you don’t think magic classes are the coolest and most interesting things ever, get out of my face.
5. What do you think you’ll be doing right now?
I think I’ll be reading. I’m pretty sure I’d spend AT LEAST 9/10ths of my time reading in the dorms. Maybe in the library if I don’t get lost. And I WILL get lost. I am the worst human being on earth with directions, and the changing stairwells means I’ll probably be in a perpetual state of lost-ness for the first few months. Maybe the entirety of first term, if not first year.
6. What’s the core of your wand?
Unicorn hair. Paired with rowan wood, I’d make a good healer.
7. Do you think you’ll be part of the quidditch team?
Nooooo. No thank you. Not a sports person. I’d definitely love to fly, though.
8. Will you be part of any organization???
Like what? Maybe I’ll check out the clubs or something, but I think I’ll have to take a pass on SPEW and such.
9. Will you go home during holidays?
NO. I WANT TO STAY AT SCHOOL. Also I’d have to go home to the west coast of the United States and that’s just a little cost-prohibitive.
10. Do you think you’ll have friends from other houses?
I hope so! I don’t want to be too lonely. I think my house is pretty friendly, even if I’m kinda shy. I’ll find some friends somewhere.
11. What will you pack for school?
A case of books and plenty of food for whatever pet they let me have. If they let me have a trained hamster, maybe I’ll just feed him from the table. He can nibble on the corners of my toast and sleep in a shoebox on my nightstand.
12. How about when going home for holidays, what will you bring home?
Magic snowballs. Yup. Leaving everything else at school except my magic hamster and stuffing my trunk with magical snowballs.
13. Would you consider studying in another wizarding school?
Maybe? They’d have to speak English. Maybe if there was one in the States, I’d go there. Might be cheaper, just from a travel perspective.
14. Do you think you’ll be a prefect or head girl/boy?
Naaah. Leave that to someone who likes responsibility. I’d rather chill in bed or in my library chair with my hamster.
15. Are you going to be a pure-blood or half-blood or muggle-born?
Mmm. I don’t think that’s a thing I get to decide! It’s not something I think about, but honestly I think coming from a Muggle or partly Muggle family and entering the wizarding world with fresh eyes would be a really cool experience.
16. Will you be related to any wizarding family?
Maybe I’ll be related to the Malfoys somehow and then a proper Malfoy will look down his/her nose at me when I get sorted into Hufflepuff and scoff at me and I won’t see it because I’ll be too busy checking out the food and feeding my hamster bits of chicken and carrot.
17. Will you be a student who gets into trouble a lot?
Nah. I’m too afraid of what the punishments might be to stray too far from the path. I’ll take plenty of naps and avoid the troublemakers.
18. Do you think you’ll get a lot of detention? For what reason/s?
I hope not. If I do, it’ll be because I forgot an assignment or my hamster ate it. Maybe if he eats enough of them, he’ll absorb the knowledge and develop super-snarky powers of speech. Then HE’LL probably get me in trouble. We could be a sitcom.
19. On Hogsmeade visits, what shops will you go to?
Candy shop! And maybe like a clothing shop? I’m going to suffer really badly in winter because I’m allergic to wool, so I’ll be constantly on the lookout for something warm to wear.
20. Will you be supportive of your house’s Quidditch team?
Sure. I might not go to every single match, but I have house pride! Hufflepuff’s got a win in them!
21. Will you read Hogwarts: A History?
Maybe, unless it’s truly, terrifically, tremendously boring to the point of wanting to feed it to my snarky magic hamster.
22. Do you think you’ll get a lot of letters from home? How frequent do you think you’ll get them?
Nah. My parents don’t like birds. Unless Hogwarts has wifi and will let me email them…
23. Will you subscribe to The Daily Prophet or The Quibbler or other wizarding world media?
Meh. I’ll find some copies somewhere. Enough people subscribe to them that there’s sure to be one around I don’t have to pay for. Quibbler would be interesting to read, I love cryptozoology… but I guess I shouldn’t call it that.
24. Which part of the castle will be your favorite?
The common room! Seriously, have you seen the Hufflepuff common room? It is a hobbit hole. As long as I can keep my hay fever under control, it’ll be a neat place to hang out.
25. When sleeping in your dormitory, will your four-poster bed’s curtains be drawn or closed?
Closed. I will desperately need some kind of privacy if I’m going to be sharing a room with X amount of other girls.
26. If the team your house played against wins, do you think you’ll be bitter towards the other team after the game?
Naaah. It’s just a game, and I’m not a sore loser. There’s always next match.
27. Do you think you’ll be a fan of wizard music?
Ehhhh… maybe? I’d definitely have to see what all the options are. Is there, like, wizard instrumental? I’m sure there is. I’d better find wizard iTunes and explore.
28. Will you be curious enough to try and explore the whole castle, even if you know you can get in trouble for visiting some parts of it?
I’ll explore what I can without getting lost. If I have to break rules to get there, it’s probably off-limits for a good reason. I’ll stay where it’s ok for me to be.
29. How frequent will your visits to the library be?
All the time! At least it’ll start that way. It depends on how good wizard fiction is.
30. If someone was to form an organization similar to Dumbledore’s Army, will you join?
If there’s a teacher similar to Umbridge, I’ll start it myself. If people are just getting together to break rules for no reason, I’d rather stay out of it.
31. If you were to get detention, what task would you prefer? Would you want to scrub cauldrons or clean trophies or sort through unlabeled books or…?
Gimme the books. I’ll sort ‘em and stack and shelve and whatever else.
32. On your o.w.l.s, what subject/s will you get an O in? Which ones do you think you’ll get a T on?
Probably gonna get a T in History. I think I’d do well in Charms and Herbology, maybe Defense since I have a good wand for it. Potions sounds rather like cooking, so I should be all right there. Transfiguration might be tougher for me unless I can get the theory down well enough. I’m going to be SHIT at Astronomy, though.
33. How about in your n.e.w.t.s?
Eehhehhehheheehhh. I’ll do as well as I can, but I think it’ll depend on what classes I can take NEWT levels for. NEWT level transfiguration sounds scary difficult…
34. If you were a pure-blood, would you take interest in reading muggle literature?
I think I’d like to. Shunning literature for who wrote it is closed minded and silly. I hope I wouldn’t be THAT kind of pureblood.
35. At what time do you think you’ll go to bed on weekdays?
Depends on how much studying I have to do and whether or not Astronomy is tonight.
36. Would you prefer firewhiskey over butterbeer?
Nah. Not an alcohol person, nor a spicy person. Plus Butterbeer sounds pretty ace.
37. What wizard snack would be your favorite? Or which one would you like to try?
Chocolate frogs! Unless you have to kill or stun them or something first. That might get a little icky for me. Maybe Every Flavor Beans if I can correctly sort out the nasty ones.
38. Will you collect chocolate frog cards?
Eh. I don’t think so. I’m not a collector kind of person. If I ever wanted to start collecting, though, I wouldn’t be opposed to it. If the cards worked like they do in the older Harry Potter Gameboy games where they could cast spells and stuff in certain combinations, then HELL YEAH I’m collecting!
39. Will you keep track of which flavor of beans you already tried?
Only so I can pick out my favorites and hoard them for myself. I’d probably have to look out for the hamster taking some.
40. What quidditch team (excluding hogwarts houses) will you support?
Tutshill Tornadoes. Roderick Plumpton is my hero.
41. What classes will you take for n.e.w.t.s?
I think I’d like to “major” in Herbology and Charms. Maybe Defense if we start learning more healing types of spells.
42. What will your boggart be?
Ooooh. Um. My dog, dead. My snarky hamster too, I suppose. Or a magical floating bill of all the expenses going to Hogwarts as a United States citizen will incur.
43. Will you stay in the hog’s head or the three broomsticks?
Mm. Three Broomsticks, I suppose. Butterbeer~
44. If you are of age, will you try to enter the triwizard tournament if they ever host one again?
Noooooo. No. Nope. Not for me. I’ll stay out and watch, thanks.
45. What do you think happens during graduation?
Something really cool. Like magic fireworks or something. Maybe Weasley’s Wizarding Wheezes can come in and sponsor graduation to make it really awesome.
46. Will you see the thestrals carrying the carriages?
Yeah, but only if the “death” thing includes animals. I was holding my dog Sadie when we put her to sleep a few years ago. If it’s people only, then I think I won’t.
47. If you were invited to join the slug club, will you accept the invitation?
I’m not gonna lie, it looks like they had some bombin’ sundaes. Maybe I’ll just go for the food.
48. Will you consider becoming a professor in hogwarts after school?
Nnnnnnno. I’d rather go be a shop owner or something. Maybe I can work for Florean Fortescue and help him make new ice cream flavors!
49. What would your patronus be?
I took a quiz once that said it’d be a butterfly. Maybe that. Or maybe it’ll be a big fluffy panda! It can just plop down and hug me until the dementors get chased away by someone who has a more mobile patronus.
50. What memory will you think of when making a patronus?
Probably one of a number of memories of me and my boyfriend. Either him, or my puppy dog Scout.
51. What year are you suppose to be in right now?
Well I’m 22, so I’d be long since graduated. That won’t stop me from waiting for my letter, though. I must be a late bloomer.
