#therefugeeflag Last year in 2016 I was asked to design a flag for the Refugee team going to the Olympics in Rio, a symbol that will make them feel they exist, a symbol that will give them a voice. It didn't stop there the symbol grew so big to represent 65 million displaced people around the globe, 65 million #human When I designed the flag I was very scared that my friends, my family, people I grew up with might be insulted, might feel heavy by a new symbol, a new stigma. Fortunately integrity never fails an artist! The mean of the flag is that people, organizations and social media sop sharing inappropriately pictures of tortured people and dead children! #refugeesarehumans #humansmatter #privacyisabasicright
