Hello! Since it’s hard for me to judge a type of roleplay I have no knowledge over, I’ll try to base my judgment onto the things I actually know about. I’m sorry if I’m coming off as too harsh, but all my criticism is meant to be constructive and as something you can improve!
First of all, the graphics. It’s an interesting concept for the header - on one hand, it’s so simple - just text over an image, but the subtle gif overlay makes it look rather interesting, and it works! However, with that being said, the image itself lacks sharpness, and I think it would look wonderful with a psd over it that would give the image more brightness and contrast. I’m not really a fan of the follow/activity graphics, though - again, I’d like to see a brightening psd on top of them, and the text should be centered. I do enjoy your choice of theme, though - I feel like fansite-type themes for roleplays make it easier to view them. The images on your character almost seem unedited as well while it would look much, much nicer if they had a unifying psd onto them or (if you don’t use photoshop), any type of coloring that would make them look similar.
Now, onto the roleplay itself. I’m not a huge fan of using cisgender face claims for non-binary characters, I see this in a lot of roleplays today, and I don’t think people actually realize how toxic it might seem to actual nb/trans people. Why don’t you try introducing some other nb/trans faces instead?
Now, onto the plot, there’s a few grammatical errors that strike out to me (and keep in mind i’m not English speaking myself, so my writing isn’t perfect either). “American” should be spelled with the capital letter, and it should say “affected” where you’ve written “affected”. The whole sentence that starts with “each resident who risen from the dead” just doesn’t seem right, either use a different conjugation of “rise” or insert “was” before it. “Bios” instead of “bio’s”. In short, I suggest you double-check all the texts (rules, descriptions, other “main” posts that people are going to read before joining your group) with a grammar tool such as grammarly or similar ones. If a roleplay expects their members to use proper grammar, they should make sure so is theirs.
While I don’t do sci-fi roleplays myself, and I’m not familiar with the show you’re based on. I do think your roleplay has an interesting twist! Dividing the characters into dead and alive can be a very fruitful place of plot development - e.g. the “dead” being marginalized in the society, not being given the same rights as the others and so forth - it might be very interesting to play a character that goes through that kind of struggle, and it reverberates with the real life.
I hope you don’t take any of my critiques too much to heart, I wish you the best of luck, and I hope you can strive and remain active for a long time!

Why yes you can! Just remember this is my opinion, it is not made to hurt anyones feelings. If you would like explanations as to why I think these, and suggestions on how to fix things, I will gladly do a full review.
You will find your opinion under the cut.
I have never truthfully been a fan of themes like this, I generally don’t like the banner themes. It was very simple to navigate, which is a huge plus. I see a lot of post by Emilie, and most are very welcoming, your main is active and that great. You side description seemed a little dull too me, I didn’t really get the point of the rp through it. Your plot is long but it’s not too long it gets to the point. I honestly really like the thought of it! You can see that you guys clearly put a lot of work into this and it’s laid out very well, and it looks very welcoming. I may look into it myself!

Hey hon! Is it possible to get an opinion? We’re a brand new sci-fi rp that has just opened, with our new members coming we’d love to get a couple more characters taken before releasing our second round of characters! During this time we’re happy to answer any questions anyone may have!
hey there! of course you can. if you want this removed at any time, feel free to contact me and i’ll take it down :)
so i spent a little time digging through your page, and i can tell that there was a lot of thought and effort put into the characters which i can appreciate. there are so any options and variety for muns to choose. for me, i find it hard to relate to characters that aren’t my own so i tend to steer towards oc rp’s, but i always appreciate when the admins have a vision, and admire the choices that are being made here. although they aren’t for me, i know if you stick with it, you’ll be successful!
i went through your rules, and all of it is very fair. the only thing i could say - and this is really nit picking it - is that i wouldn’t have triggers under small things. it kind of diminishes how much emphasis you’re putting on it. i would go as far as to giving triggers it’s own category. .after going through your characters, i can see that you have an idea about what kind of triggers they contain. i would list that somewhere so that people who are auditioning will know what they’re auditioning for, and will know that this rp may include or mention some of those things.
i like the theme. it’s eerie, especially the top gif. i love the character graphics, and the admin graphics. the color choices work really well together. some of your links in your nav aren’t working, but this rp seems fairly new and i see that you’re using tags and not pages, so maybe you haven’t had an opportunity to tag things under that.
i’ve seen the pilot of the returned, so i’m a little familiar with the basic plot. out of any tv show, this one seems like a good choice - you don’t have to be familiar with the show to understand the idea.
all in all, you’ve made great choices in how you’re presenting this! mostly, i would focus on the links in your navigation. when you click a link, and it goes nowhere, it almost feels ill prepared, in a sense? i would just take the time to make sure something is tagged in them, and even if you don’t have anything for it yet, make a page that says it’s coming soon, and direct the link there! keep on top of things the way you have been, promote like crazy, and i know you’ll take off :) i’m gonna give you guys a rec too!
