There Will Be A Day

There will be a day where I won’t remember how warm your body felt against mine. There will be a day where I won’t remember the tenderness of your kiss. There will be a day where hearing your name won’t give me that bittersweet chill down my spine. There will be a day where I won’t swear your scent was blowing in the breeze. There will be a day where the pain of getting over you will somehow be numbed and forgotten. There will be a day where I will have to settle for less. 

But I still won’t be able to forget you. I’ll always remember the first time you kissed me. I’ll always remember our first dance. I’ll always remember our first argument and the first time we made up. I’ll always remember how much you were there for me. I will always remember who my best friend was.

It will be the little things I won’t be able to recall one day. And even until then, I am stuck missing you and hopelessly loving you.
