When you are the very best°... but just not best enough. 😔 Yongie had the world against him, including the woman he loved. I dreamed of Yongie. Or was it Actor Yobi? 😅 I don't know, but I miss both. This title is the only drama I managed to follow from beginning to end this year. Having spent half the year with it, it feels like home. Although underrated, Lee Chang Yeop as the simple Yongie is one of the most fitting and among my favorites of casting choices I've seen of all time. Whether Yong was down, smiling, or lost in thought, I felt those reactions and gestures were his. I sympathized with Yong, laughed at his rare jokes, and understood his silence. Really, his presence warmed my heart. Quite fascinating that Actor Lee Chang Yeop is actually one of the youngest actors on set playing the older Yong. ^^ Since I enjoyed watching him so much, I think any scene of him would be wonderful to commemorate, but it just so happens that I gravitated towards these angsty ones. 😆😍 Beautiful Yong, beautiful Yobi. The Rich Son.° Happily ever after. 💐 We can subtract and add numbers, but true goodness, sincerity, and love are often unchanging, nonnegotiable, and unexpendable. Through these 100 episodes, we learn that being rich does not exactly entail monetary wealth and possessions... that, in fact, the poorest boy can very much be the richest. For me, Choi Yong is The Rich Son. This drama wasn't always an easy and joyful ride, but I felt a sense of comfort around the relationships that these fifty hours, or six months, spent were not regretful. I grew to love, understand, and respect characters I disagreed with. And although I don't think I would revisit all 100 episodes in its entirety again, I have already begun to watch Kyung Ha and Yong's story alone from the beginning again. They were secondary and seemed minor at times, but their mellow and unlikely relationship, yet complimenting characterizations, are special to me-- and very much the majority reason for why I committed to seeing this drama through. I enjoy watching Hong Soo Hyun in just about everything she's in; she's one of my favorite actresses. She has a bright and sweet, but sexy and sophisticated attitude, so to see her here as stubborn but pained noona against newcomer Lee Chang Yeob is refreshing. I am super fond of his subtle and reflective acting; he is naturally gentle and soft-spoken, so it was exciting in the rare moments that he raised his voice (not to mention, handsome as ever!). ☺ I look forward to following his continued growth on stage and on screen! 😍 I'm actually saddened we can't see more of Hong and Lee together, but their pairing is one I will remember for a very long time.~ 수고하셨습니다!
