\\ M A R D E N ⋅ 1 // English National Ballet (ENB) is technically a touring company. This means that we do not have one home theater, but that we perform all over London, the UK, and the world. When ENB needs to practice something in advance of our scheduled time in a theater, we will often come to the Marden, Kent warehouse. Our amazing crew will build a replica of the stage and we will practice in the space. ⋅ Before Paris Opera we used the warehouse to practice dancing on a raked stage. Before the opening of Corsaire we practiced with all the new sets, costumes, and props. And now before Pina Bausch's The Rite of Spring, we used the Marden wearhouse to get used to dancing in soil. ⋅ I have to say it was quite an experience to dance in the earth! ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ #PinaBausch #TheRightOfSpring #Marden #ENB #ENBtriple (at English National Ballet)
