Oh, Mileena knew that walk well. That stride that gave off the blaring air of “I don’t care and I don’t associate with you”...! If she knew any better, she would probably be head over heels! Fortunately, though, she can at least give credit where credit is due and appreciate the other woman’s confidence. Anyone who walked like that was someone on a mission. People watching was something she’d come to be familiar with after all. 

Though... she probably looks like some gaping school girl. Oops.

“W-Wait a second!” Before she realizes it, she’s calling out to her, “I’m looking for someone and you seem like a capable person who might have seen a thing or two. Do you mind answering a question or two?”

“Don’t bother wasting your breath. I’ve long come to terms with the path I’m traveling down. I won’t let some self-righteous fool stray me otherwi–” She stops short with a pause, tilting her head at the other.

“Hm. You look familiar.” First she tries to imagine him in an exorcist’s uniform and then a bandage covering his eye. “If I didn’t know any better, I would have mistaken you for that praetor Oscar.”

“Just because you’ve walked one path up until now doesn’t mean you cannot change.” So what if Flynn was a bit self-righteous? Justice was important and not something to be ignored.

A blink. Oscar? Who was that? “My name is Flynn Scifo of the imperial knights.” He wondered if they would have to fight?

  “ Aye aye! “  She agrees with delight, settling down behind Velvet to begin her work, weaving lovely pastel blossoms into dark strands.  In truth, Colette thinks that Velvet is BEAUTIFUL.  Her hair is a little DAMAGED here and there and could use some real love, but it’s lovely and thick and dark.  Not to mention the confidence to walk around in that outfit!  Colette admires her ... 

  When she’s done, the result is fairly ARTFUL, blossoms arrange by COLOR && SIZE to compliment one another, each chosen with care.   “ -- All done. “

Emil’s head ached.

He wasn’t sure what was happening, where he’d been deposited or how. It was all fuzzy and confusing. Rubbing his face gingerly, Emil worked to try and fix himself up to be a bit more presentable, even while knowing he couldn’t entirely fix whatever the situation was.

“Mere moments from almost becoming a daemon’s meal for a start.”

... daemon?

He’d heard of a demon (he had been called a “demon lord,” as inaccurate as that was) and even had seen them once. Behind the Ginnungagap where he had gone to save and protect his friends.

“The Warg Forest is crawing with deamons ... What are you doing so far in?”

Emil swallowed thickly. Uncertainly. What was a Warg Forest-- no, no, how she had said that. The Warg Forest meant this had to of been a place. (No duh. A forest is a place after all.) But he’d never heard of it in his life. Over ten thousand years and it didn’t ring a single bell.

“I...I don’t know...”

Practice Makes Perfect

The last thing he expected to hear from Velvet after everything they had been though together so far, was for a suggestion on improving his abilities. Jude couldn’t deny that he was seriously lacking in a lot of areas as most of his fighting style and skills came off instinct and discovery alone. Trying to protect Velvet was good and all, but getting hurt while doing so wasn’t acceptable... She made that part pretty clear, even if she had appreciated what he had done.

Finding a place free of humans and other seraphim certainly wasn’t a hard challenge, but the younger really wasn’t sure if he wanted to go through with this. The concern and care Velvet carried in her will to... train him of sorts, it meant a lot and he’d never had the chance before. But because of how he felt for Velvet? He didn’t want to accidentally hurt her or anything, even if she could probably wipe the floor with him, despite having one less arm.

“Um, I know I’m all better now Velvet... But do you really think this is a good idea? Why do you want to teach me?”

Was this another one of Melchior's illusions? No, it couldn’t be. Not only could she see through those tricks, Velvet was pretty certain that she had taken care of that old man when she woke up the Four Empyreans. So why (or should she say how) was she looking at the mirror image of herself with no mirror in play.

“What are you trying to pull? If you think I wont attack someone who looks like me, you’ve got another thing coming.”
