Thermometer House, 5 Frug Street, Tel Aviv, Israel. Built in 1936 by Yehuda Lulka, the name of the streamlined house comes from the harsh vertical lines of the diagonal, slatted windows running down the building. These windows are aligned with the interior staircase, allowing light to penetrate throughout the day without trapping in the heat.
