Also okay one time I was at a Dashboard show and New Found Glory was opening and there were these dudes that were hardcore into NFG and when Dashboard came on stage they were like "lol no peace out." But they were at a New Found Glory concert in like idk 2009? so joke's on you I didn't even know they were still a band.

idk i mean this debate’s been going on in the fandom since artemis first appeared so it’s kind of at an impasse but yeah i get your point
ik it is and that's never gonna change but i just get sick of people criticizing others for their fancasts like it's what THEY see in their head it has nothing to do with you, just because you think yours is "right" and their's is "wrong" doesn't make you better than them and like all i get from those posts is that people are up on their high horses and that's one of my least favorite things in the world like let them do what they want idk

but….. we’re not using skin/hair/eye color to determine artemis’s ethnicity….. we know that she’s half-vietnamese and we know that in the show her appearance corresponds with that of someone who is half-vietnamese?
that's also what i'm saying though, bc we KNOW she's half-vietnamese so we can automatically associate her features with vietnamese features but in reality they don't really distinguish her as a different ethnicity because they're so similar to the features of the "white" girls. we are able to distinguish them bc of what we know.
and like i was saying with the post about my cousins, you can have someone that you KNOW is korean, for example, but they don't look korean.
so that's why i don't think it's a huge crime to fancast a white actress as artemis because it's not completely out of the realm of possibilty
i don't agree with it, and would like to see more diversity in her casting but i see her more "white" than i do "asian, so i have a hard time choosing an asian actress over a white one bc i find her features more white
