ترموود به چوبی گفته میشود که تحت تاثیر و فرایند حرارت و فشار بخار آب فراوری شده و رطوبت آن تا 4 الی 6 درصد نزدیک به صفر رسیده باشد وآماده اجرا برای نمای بیرونی ساختمان,محوطه و استفاده در آلاچیق و روف گارن میباشد که به آن چوب ترمو  ویا ترمووود میگویند.

مقاوم در برابر دما و شرایط جوی مختلف

هنگامي كه الوارهای چوبي تحت عمل فرآوري ترمو قرار مي‌گيرند، صمغ و مواد مضر آن مانند فرمالدهيدها حذف مي‌گردند . در نتیجه ماده اي خالص و استريل به دست می‌آید که کاربردهای متعدد بيرونی و درونی دارد.
