The Theatre

I heard that the nights of ours schools play went well. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see it as I was booked. I didn't end up going to the Hatzic musical.  The student in the dress during shake it off did a splendid job. A fair amount of people from our school were there as well.  During thinking out loud the student singing on the stage gave a rose to one of the girls from our school sitting in front of me. She spent the entirety of the rest of the play gushing about how 'cute' he was. The music in between the scenes were easily recognizable and over all fun.  They even played Just My Luck by Mr.Heslip's old boy band (V.I.P).  The Hatzic musical was a success. Good job to all the actors and singers out there in both the MSS play and the Hatzic musical!

Grad vs Teacher Hockey Game Scandal

Apparently there is not going to be a student versus teacher hockey game. This is a tad upsetting because it is a tradition. The teacher I asked about it said "Us teachers don't want to do it (the hockey game). We'll get creamed because the grad class is an actual hockey team because of the Hatzic hockey school." I addressed the fact that at Hatzic, with their hockey school, still had a grad versus teacher match. The teacher responded with "Well that's because they have good hockey players like Mr.Jepson and Mr Vos." Mr. Jepson hasn't been the principal of Hatzic in years but the game was still played.So there you have it, the scoop on why the grad versus teacher game likely isn't going to happen. The teachers are scared to get creamed that's why.

The Taurids

Am I the only one who is really excited for the second half of the Taurid meteor shower. It is on the 11th and the 12th.

I heard that NASA is expecting fireballs. I don't even know if we will be able to see it or not. I hope so! I really like astrological events! Like a lot!!

Please remember everyone who has fought or is fighting in a war!

The Remembrance day ceremony at our school I think went pretty well. I think the dancing was probably my favorite. Good Job dancers!! The other preforming arts acts were pretty good too.

I am super happy we actually had a veteran speaking this year. Last year it was just Johnny for the native part. Which was all about what natives did in the war. Johnny wasn’t there this year  but that’s okay I guess.

They should really either turn up their mics or fix the system because I could barely hear anyone and I was right at the front.

Mental Health

I just wanted to let everyone know a couple of my friends are starting a mental health support group for our school. I’ll be at as many meetings as I can. So you might meet me. My two friends are really big introverts so this is a huge step for them. Please be kind.

Its general purpose is to properly educate people about mental health and attempt to get rid of some of the stigma (bad rep) behind it.They will also be doing some fundraising later on to get money for a mental health foundation. Which is really great!

I might also try to  get one of my other friends, she is a big mental health advocate and a famous musician, to show up. My friends and everyone else could use all the support you are willing to share for this. Personally I think this will be a good thing in the long run for this community. So please support this. Mental health is too important to not support.
