Diary,
The other day I was talking to R.O.B., and the subject of pain came up. Did you know R.O.B. can’t feel pain like an organic life form can? That shouldn’t be so astounding to me, given that most of my droids can’t feel pain. I think what’s so curious about it is that R.O.B. is sentient. I don’t have a doubt in my mind that he is. It boggles me to think about being unable to feel a pain stimulus and know about it. I can’t imagine living like that; obviously it sounds nice, but what about self-preservation instinct? How do you know when you’re hurt and you need to get somewhere safe? I’m sure R.O.B. has his ways --he probably has to to have survived this long-- but I couldn’t fall asleep until I wrote this down.
It’s so bizarre and wonderful; being at the tournaments and learning about new ways of life. I won’t lie; I was a little nervous at first, but I think I’m going to fit in just fine.Maybe these tournaments will be good for me after all.
