She let go of Shadow’s hands and immediately swam up towards the surface. The girl gave a huge gasp when she hit air, coughed a little, and mumbled, “worth it.”

Shadow took a deep breath when he broke the surface, his cheeks still stained red, glaring at her with a small hmph, before a small mischievious smile came to his lips. He splashed Tori as a distraction before moving forward, placing both of his hands on Tori’s head and trying to dunk her under the water.

With Shadow joining in the arm swinging, Tori smiled widely and swung their arms a little higher.

Victor nodded and added, “Miss Ruiz is a good teacher but…yeah, sometimes even I don’t understand what she needs by certain things. But I can probably still help. I know one of my classmates wants some of my help.”

Shadow simply smirked softly and exaggerated the swing even more until they were basically just swinging their arms around it a large, lazy circle.

“Well, it’s the same with everyone sometimes. You can’t always understand what someone means because everyone has different speaking patterns and different terms for things. Take me, for example, if I were to use slang that I learnt when I was younger, when I was still with my family, I could say that someone did something ‘arse about face’, which basically would mean they’ve done it back to front. Or I could say that something is ‘the dog’s bollocks’, and that basically means the bee’s knees.” He paused. “I wouldn’t repeat either of those to your parents, though. They may not know what they meant and you’d probably get in trouble either way.”
