Tori grinned wickedly and gave her best hearty, cruel laughter. Victor glanced over at them and quietly reconsidered being friends with these insane people.

…Well, I’m really gonna miss you, then. I don’t even know what the new update is yet, so I dunno if I think you’re over-reacting or not.

The queue is still has some things in it so this blog will be ‘active’ for a few days.

I’ll be checking tumblr for messages in case some of you still want to reach out to me. I’ll stop checking by Sunday.

I’m setting up over at my new soup page. It’ll take a few days to get everything up and running there though.

Sorry to go, I just can’t deal with this. It was a blast while it lasted.

“It’s the best part about having a twin. I suggest getting a clone. It’s a close second to having a twin.” Tori recommended.

“Tori…” Victor lightly scolded her with a small, stern look. It had no effect on her.

“Shame that it doesn’t really work quite as well for you anymore though, huh? After all, you two look different now. Plus, Victor’s tall. And you’re still short.” Shadow stuck his tongue out playfully at Tori.

“I’m taller than you, you know,” Tori countered as she crossed her arms. She wasn’t much taller, mind you, but tall enough that she shouldn’t be called short, in her opinion.

Victor gave a small sigh, “you would think it would stop working but…we look similar enough for Tori to still pull this sort of stuff off.”

Lachlan snorted. Lina was trying to calm down from her explosive nerdery and go back to explain things a bit better, or answer Victor’s questions.

“The Mesozoic Era is the stretch of time that encompasses all the periods the dinosaurs lived in. So if you combine the Triassic, the Jurassic and the Cretaceous, you get the Mesozoic. So when the dinosaurs ended, so too did the Mesozoic Era. The Triassic Period on the other hand is when dinosaurs first started appearing. It was the period that directly followed the Permian era, which itself was the end of the Paleozoic Era. But it’s not the end of the Phanerozoic which – you know, nevermind. That gets confusing. Even I mess up.”

“We’re here anyway.” Lachlan said, turning into a dirt path and following the road for seven minutes along the grassy fields until the came to a barn. There were benches set up just outside a large horse training ring, which also seemed to be set up for something.

Lina undid her seatbelt and leaned over Lachlan’s seat. “Oh my god is that Victoria?”

“Might be. I didn’t think she’d be here. Maybe she came overseas for a movie or something.”

Lina fell back into her seat, grinning at Victor. “Today is Lachlan’s day. So we’re going to watch him participate in his hobby.”

“Maybe after the main event I’ll let you have a go, Victor.” Lachlan said, jumping out of his car. He gave a wicked grin at the younger boy. “If you’re brave enough.” Lina smacked his arm. “Ahah’ow! Stop doing that!”

“Come on, I’ll introduce you to the rest of the group.” Lina hopped out of the car.

So much information, so little time. Victor wondered if he was going to remember it all. He listened intently as Lina continued to correct his mistakes and misconceptions. The Saber-Tooth bit made enough sense. The explanation of the different eras was harder to keep up with. But regardless, Victor nodded along and at least tried to look like he completely understood everything.

At the announcement of arriving, Victor looked outside the car window and smiled widely at the grassy fields and soon at the barn. He was more used to being in forests but this was a decent second. But what really caught this attention was the mention of a name. The teen perked up at the name ‘Victoria.’ He couldn’t help but wonder if this could somehow be his sister, who had the same name. There was no way but the thought was a fun one.

He was brought back into focus by Lina and Lachlan. He could feel himself start to get excited for what he was going to watch but not so much at the time of participating himself. Victor gave a nervous laugh, “I-I don’t think I can manage to be brave enough to participate, honestly.”

He then got out of the car, ready to follow the two towards the rest of this group.

“Tori, hey!” Tyrone’s lips curved up into their typical goofy grin, and without hesitation he pulled the girl in for a tight embrace, his grin only growing wider. “How’re you doin’?”

“H-hey Tyrone!” Tori was not prepared for what felt like a sudden hug but she wasn’t going to complain. She grinned and hugged back just as tight. “I’m doing great now! How are you? What’s up with you?”

"Just kill me now!"

“Why should I waste my energy on someone like you?” Wicca said, sizing them up. From the look of it, they didn’t seem all that impressive or threatening. No magical ability at first glance, either.

“Though if it’s really what you wish, I’m willing to be generous.” He pulled on the cuff of his glove, eyes narrowing.

Wicca set Tori down as she called for her brother. He seemed reluctant to come down. Wicca stood there, motionless, barely breathing. He was waiting for orders.

Inside, the real Wicca, his consciousness felt the warmth leave. He didn’t want it to go, but he had no way of making it stay. Things just seemed to be happening to him and there was no way of controlling anything.

A few moments and Wicca started up the stairs. No orders had come, but the spell could sense Tori’s desire for her brother to come down. That in itself could be seen as orders. With the flick of his hand, Wicca unlocked and turned the knob to the door of Allen’s room. He walked swiftly inside and grabbed at the scruff of Allen’s shirt with the intent of dragging him downstairs.

Tori stood at the bottom of the stair case and watched as Wicca went up the stairs. She was about to go after him, after all the girl didn’t want him running off in his current state, but then she heard her oldest brother whining and complaining. “H-hey, who are you??” “I’m in the middle of something, can this wait?” “Okay, okay, pleaaaase stop pulling my collar, I’ll just walk with you if you ask!” Needless to say, she broke into laugher at seeing Wicca pulling Allen by the collar down the stairs.

“Thanks, Wicca, for bringing him down! You’re totally awesome!” Tori managed to say after a few moments of laughing. “Allen, this is Wicca. It’s a long story but he’s got a spell on him that makes him do whatever I say but turns him into a vegetable. Can you fix him and make him normal again?”

“Tori, I told you about messing with spells!” Allen frowned a little and while he normally found it hard to be stern with the kid, it was even harder with Wicca pulling on his collar. He couldn’t even stand properly like this. “It’s super dangerous and can backfire a lot if you don’t know what you’re doing! But, yeah, I can probably fix him. If he lets go of my collar.”

Tori rolled her eyes and waved her brother off. This? Coming from the guy who is constantly involved with supernatural things and magic and getting into trouble. But she did decide that help out with the whole collar things, “Wicca, can you let go of my brother?”

“Oh, um - !” She racked her mind for a good excuse to give him. She couldn’t just tell him it was because she had actually decided to kiss him on her own this time - not when she’d just said it was a dare! It would be way too embarrassing.

“Ah, I just meant that this time it was just a kiss on the cheek, n-not on the lips like last time, so it’s way less weird, right? A-after all, lots of people kiss their friends on their cheeks.” Oh boy, that was almost as embarrassing as the truth. She was really bad at making things up on the fly.

“I…guess it’s a little less weird?” In truth, Victor had only a small collection of friends and a even few number of them who kiss other friends on the cheek. However, Victor was willing to accept this line of reasoning, even if made him just a tad disappointed. He would of liked to think that she had kissed him because she liked him…but perhaps that was asking for too much.
