I’m brushing up on mostly German and French. I did a bit of Swedish and Italian aaaages ago and have started to re-learn them also (but I’m finding that although I used to love Italian because it was my first second language, I’m quite disinterested in it now). I have also been doing very basic Portuguese and a little bit of Korean, but it’s a much bigger learning curve for me because of the alphabet.
Tbh, I’m not a huge Harry Potter fan even though I have read all of them. I really love the world though, it’s one of my absolute favourites, and I keep revisiting the stories because of that. I would say I really enjoyed Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire more because they expand the world a bit further than the earlier books (I really don’t give a shit about the Voldemort plot so that’s why I don’t care much for the later books). Give me more Hermione. I really like her a lot, she’s just such a wonderful and passionate character. I honestly love pretty much all of the female characters in the Harry Potter universe, but I consistently come back to her as my favourite. What about you?
Most recently I have decided to start writing reviews for lesbian content since I consume so much of it already, and I have a connection to an already well-established site which can give me a platform. I’m thinking of starting with books first, and then movies (I find I get too caught up on analyzing visuals over story with film), and maybe eventually tv and other forms of media. And I’m still constantly and incredibly slowly working on a women’s history zine/booklet type thing. I’ve done enough research for about 20 women, but I’ve been more focused on compiling a list of names of women all over the world and throughout history than actually writing anything good. I did a draft version like two years ago, when my writing was horrific, so I really need to revisit that aspect again.
In regards to what my type is... I don’t really know. If it isn’t already obvious, I’m pretty inexperienced. But I find myself drawn to confident and intelligent women. I like women who can talk about things passionately, speak their mind, and feel comfortable in their own skin. I do prefer more gender non-conforming women as well, but that’s mostly in regards to make-up, heels, shaving- things I don’t like for political reasons. I’m terrible at discerning if someone likes me or is flirting, so I think the confidence factor, and being open about how they feel is something which I like simply because it makes it easier on me haha.
