Alice didn’t really remember ever inviting anyone over just for the purpose of showing off her artwork or the videos of her that still lingered on the internet from her time on the ice. Her usual reasons for entertaining company would admittedly be a little more...devious in nature. But still. Alice wasn’t someone to turn down any sort of validation. She should probably talk to her therapist about that. She probably wouldn’t. The red-head usually listened to music when she tried to paint but not today. She’d been working on the same project since she had an extremely vivid nightmare. It had started out as a sketch that she hadn’t been able to get out of her head but now she was stuck.
That was how she ended up mentioning it in conversation to Henry on one of the days where she happened to see him in the waiting room at her physical therapists office. Somehow, she had ended up inviting him to visit her apartment for some potential advice. Alice had some questions about if he could install a barre without causing too much damage to the wall. She was pulled from her thoughts by a knock on her door. She thanked god that she could at least still balance well enough on her feet to tiptoe around the scattered art supplies on her floor as she hurried to answer the door. Alice flung the door open and brushed her hair out of her face. “Hey! Sorry I was in the other room. Come in,” she stepped aside and waved Henry inside. “I hope you didn’t have too hard of a time finding the place. I suck at giving directions.”
