Låpsley remembers that fateful day in Montpellier on her latest single, 'Ligne 3.'

Taking its name from part of the French city's tram system, the British singer paints her heartbreak in shadowy, sombre hues as she recounts the 'Letters scattered on the floor/ Pictures thrown against the wall,’ her pitch-shifted vocal mirroring her helplessness.

Holly Fletcher says about the track (via Consequence of Sound):

‘I wrote it a few days after I split up with my ex-boyfriend [...] It’s about the complexity of a break up and actually I wanted to paint a picture of the day that we broke up – the things that were said and what went down. It’s about the realisation that you don’t just fall out of love with someone, that’s not how life works.’

Låpsley's latest video for 'My Love Was Like The Rain' is a beautiful aquatic fever dream, exploring the depths of heartbreak in joyous, sometimes tragic detail, echoing the track's shimmering, ocean-like synths.

As the British singer explains (via Cool Hunting), 'My Love Was Like The Rain' is about 'about accepting the elements that make me human and make me an individual; both the positive and negative aspects. The beauty in the darkness and the light. Embracing contradiction.'
