By this time, Sehun had long forgotten about his soggy bowl of cereals, instead opting to wheeze over the girl on his phone screen. Maybe it was just the way she kept on smiling at the camera, or that he was mesmerized by the peachy tints on her cheeks; But he couldn’t keep his eyes away from her. 

“Oh, I really like Khalid as well,” the words come out as a response to what she replied with. “My favorite Youtuber has the same taste in music as me.” He mimics the sound of keyboard smashing, something like a jumble of nonsensical sounds. His hair flops from side to side as he shakes his head furiously, ears burning at how intensely focused he was on the livestream. Sehun was glad that his roommate couldn’t see or hear him, or else he’d really be mocked. It was difficult to express his interest in beauty because it was just so different from what the 18 year old Sehun originally released. To tell his friends, to his mom overseas, to then his viewers was a long process for him. It was just amazing that people were so accepting of this newfound interest.

His comment goes through before his brain can process what he just heard. Sehun lets the phone rest on the table as he leans back on his chair, eyes wide and hands cupping on either sides of his face. “Oh my god this must be a joke. It’s April? It’s April first?”

04/08 pai mini update

The camera panes from a bedroom view to the entrance of the bathroom where a hand is seen pushing the door in. Immediately, light shines down to reveal a smiling male dressed in black from head to toe.

“Hey guys! It’s the Pai!” The camera faces towards the mirror and Sehun poses with a finger check underneath his chin. “It’s April 8th...I’m about to head to work soon and it’s been a tiny tiny bit since I last posted. On like what...a few months back? You guys can tell that I’ve been changing up on my channel and stuff. I still do dance and all but with the past half year I’ve been getting into beauty and skin which was something introduced to me by my roommate!” He gestures towards the directly of the bedroom. “He’s a bit tired right now so he knocked out a few minutes ago but I’m sure a majority of you guys have seen my updates on Instagram! I work for a small beauty shop in New York!” Sehun cheers softly and moves his body around in a wave motion. A laugh escapes and he chases it away by clearing his throat. “I won’t give away the address....but I know y’all smart as hell and can find it anyway.....please don’t run me over....”

He glances towards his phone on the countertop, a free finger pressing onto the home button. “So I do have like...5 minutes until I have to leave leave? So I just wanted to update you guys on what’s going on, why I haven’t been posting, if I’m still going to do dance and stuff. And the answers are that yes, I don’t want to completely deter my original channel’s goal which was to just be me! I still do performances with my friends here, and I still would collab. I’ve just decided to incorporate more of what I want to learn, and share it with you guys since y’all have been with me for years now. I hope you guys are just as stoked as I am about my journey that’s starting and I want to experience this with you all! By the time this is uploaded I’m sure that most of you will know anyway from my other social media but until then, this has been the Pai! Bye bye for now and see you again soon!” Sehun wiggles his fingers and grins cheekily, eyes shrinking into crescents once again. The screen fades into black.

06/18 the pai updates!

“Hey what’s up guys, it’s your boy, back at it again, once more time, Ohh~ Sehun!”

The voice in the video jumps into the image, hands wiggling around in a jazz motion. His black hair is swept neatly on his head in a comma form, his earrings shining against the monitor light. He’s wearing a basic white T-shirt with light washed denim jeans that’s seen visibly despite the dim lighting of the room. Sehun peers sheepishly towards the viewers before settling himself in the computer chair, the excitement dying down. “I hope that didn’t scare you all too much. I know it’s not my normal greeting after all. And I also know that it’s been a while since I last posted anything,” he begins with a soft r&b track playing in the background. “If you guys have me on my social media, or my Instagram really you would have known that I moved! A quite drastic move from Seoul to New York if I do say so myself,” Sehun laughs briefly. He gestures to the area behind himself with small motions.

“It’s all messy back there, I haven’t really had time to set things up. My roommate isn’t back yet but you guys would love him! If he lets me I’ll introduce him in another updated vlog! But anyways,” he shifts in his head to get to a more comfortable position. “Yeah so, I met my roommate back at my university in Korea because we signed up for the same study abroad program. Which is why I came to the States. I was really nervous and kinda scared not gonna lie because it’s such a new and surreal experience y’know?” The boy in the video pauses. It’s seen that the video was left mostly unedited. “But yeah, I’ve spending the past months just applying for stuff and working a bit more hours at my job to really get that money. And I made it! Here! Finally! So I really have not had the time to post anything new or learn anything new. It’s been a very very long time hasn’t it.” Sehun looks apologetically towards the camera again before the corners of his lips lifts into a smile. He looks boyish with the way the light hits his face and how his eyes curve with his grin. “But this means you guys will be seeing new content!! Now that I’m in a new place that means that you guys can experience that with me. Vlogs, meet ups with other youtubers I’ve been wanting to collaborate with, new friends, more! So I’m really thankfully you all stuck with me all this time so I’m ready to give back. Now this was the Pai and he is now signing out! See you guys soon!”

The screen fades to dark and only the credits to the music is left on the screen.

Sehun stares wistfully towards his monitor screen, his hands propped underneath his chin. Clara Kim. The name rolls off his tongue so easily. Also because it was a name he had spoken of many times before to his close friends. She was a small time model that he followed, commercials, ads, Instagram. It was an accidental encounter with a Youtube video but then it just didn’t stop, her face never left the 18 year old’s mind. And now a year later, he still finds himself gazing fondly at how beautiful she was. “Man…I really do like you.” Though it was weird to say that to someone whom he’d never meet, he couldn’t help the rapid beating in his chest whenever she smiled at the camera, smiling at him. Maybe one day he’d be grown up enough to be someone fit for her.

17: Naked massage (SEMI-AU)

When they're finally settled on the bed, Yifan's arms around Sehun's slender body, the younger doesn’t stop complaining about how much his back hurts, and his neck is so sore and he might just be sleeping wrong in bed. Yifan offers, “come on, lay on your stomach, I’ll give you a massage.” But Sehun is so unwilling to comply, Yifan threatens with if you don’t, I swear, I’ll strip you myself. But the remark makes Sehun snort because he’s sure the demon doesn’t have the guts to.

Before Sehun even realizes, he's stripped from the light clothing he came in and Yifan is laughing, "you thought you could test me, huh? Just relax a bit, love." The elder ignores the little remarks the vlogger makes about how unfair it is because he's so much stronger.

In the end, Sehun is still and Yifan's large hands work against soft flesh, with soothing-- yet suggestive touches. And whether or not it just ended with a back massage are behind closed doors.
