Reflection Paper
WE DO IT ALL FOR THE #GOALS
Clarify your values. Set some goals. Figure out what you are good at. Aim high. Go for it. Be disciplined. Believe you can achieve goals. Involve other and never give up.
Our On-the-Job Training is one step closer in achieving our goals. The essence is felt and realized in the process. For a span of almost four months, I gained lots of learning from the 486 hours of training. Days, weeks, and months went fast as we were busy doing stuff and somehow enjoying the kind of shift. It helped me understand things; its nature, purpose, as well as complications. On-the-Job Training life is quite challenging and tiring doing the same routine everyday but I learned that time management is one key to success because if you got to manage things at the right time it will also fall into its right places. I also learned that waking up early is the most important part of the day but making it best is to achieve something and be positive.
Face the day with courage, set some goals, work harder and turn your “To-Do List” to “Should-Do List”.
Having the motivation and mindset of productivity can truly get you through the day. This experience made me realize the virtues of patience, dedication and hardwork. As we end our training I am most grateful that I had experienced being in a government agency where I gotta meet a lot of people from all walks of life. With the help and support of the people in our office, we believe that they made a big impact in the attainment of our goals. Sense of belongingness is indeed a value that gives life to the organization/ team and makes job more enjoyable.
“Every trial is a teacher. Every storm is a school. Every experience is education. Every difficulty is for your development.”- Pastor Rick Warren
Yes, it’s a fact that On-the-Job Training is a compliance for us to graduate but indeed its experience is worthy at any rate.
DON’T QUIT UNTIL GRADUATION DAY!
I’m so thankful to be reminded of this powerful note by Mam Fay Lauraya way back in 2014. Day by day, after a tiring and exhausting day I always look for this note and it made me realize the essence of holding on. I asked myself “Why should I quit when I’m halfway there?”. It also enlightened me when I’m in doubt and told myself that quitting was an option I opted not to choose. In life, you will be tested by major changes, problems, and unfair treatment but the greatest lesson that a man can learn is to believe- to believe in oneself and to believe that one key to success in achieving goals is NOT TO QUIT. And man should always be reminded that his ultimate goal can only be achieved through Him.
16th Week [October 15-19]
I’m gonna miss this :(
Team HRIS.(Me, Mary Rose Oraye, Reinz Yap and Job Balbedina)
Boodle fight with the team and Sir Alex.
“Who are you tomorrow begins with what you do today.“
It gives me the feeling of an “empty nest” that we OJT trainees are tearing apart. Each one have reached the 486 hours required and I also felt sad that this day would come to an end. I am very much thankful for them- for my groupmates, colleagues and the MDRRMO personnel for accepting and giving us the comfort; for giving us the freedom and will just like them. I realized that yes it was just a contract or a requirement we are about to comply. Yet made a big realization that it’s the application of what we learned inside and outside. Im thankful for the opportunities, lessons and experience.
15th Week [October 8-12]
Our OJT Coordinator Sir Davie Balmadrid visited in our office in regards to the system and our performance. (October 11, 2018 Thursday)
Our group with Sir Davie together with our MDRRMO Admin/ Boss Sir Alex.
Team Daraga with Sir Davie and Sir Alex. Someone is missing haha
With our client, the Admin of Human Resource Management Office Mam Nhing.
“It’s not about having time, it’s about making time.”
We are about to save our lives for the remaining hours and since the sembreak is near off, we are procrastinating and somehow getting stressed. There are bunch of requirements to comply yet I am thankful that we are reminded of these things and I can say that it gets me more productive.
14th Week [October 1-5]
“Stay patient and trust your journey.”
The remaining hours left from the 486 hours requirement must be consumed in preparation for the initial defense to our client and project coordinator. We are finalizing and making improvements for the system to have atleast 40%-50%. Yeah, we are really time-bounded to get things done. Believe in the power of believing and believe in the power of our Creator. Amen!

12th Week [September 17-21]
“If the plan doesn’t work, change the plan but never the goal.”
We only had our OJT once this week since we requested for an excuse or I should say a “break” due to the Bicol University Founding Anniversary and Olympics or “BU WEEK”. But at night I tried to make time getting things done and JUST KEEP MOVING FORWARD.
13th Week [September 24-28]
Thanks sticky notes for always reminding and sticking with me.
“Nothing worth having comes easy.”
A lot of things to do this weekend. Hope that I can get through this. I started studying more about ajax script and other possible coding techniques. We really need to work our butt off and focus. I procrastinate a huge deal that’ why “Do what you can do now. “ Next time is always too far.
