Koemi hummed as she walked along the busy street. It has been a while since she last talked to Hakuryuu, so she decided to pay him a visit. "E-Excuse me. I-I'm looking for Haku-I mean Prince Hakuryuu. H-Have you seen him?" she asked the young boy with blonde hair almost forgetting to address him properly.

Hakuryuu didn’t really know what to do or say upon seeing Koemi visit the Kou Empire once again. It has been quite some time since her last visit and she would often always leave before they manage to talk much. It was always such a shame as he would have liked to converse with her some more.

—-But, seeing as that this spell wasn’t permanent.. and that she always had this tendency to leave before too long, he figured that there was no point in telling her about the spell.

"Ah, I’m sorry but I haven’t seen him at all today." He offered a small smile. "Do you have a message for him? I could relay it to him for you if you’d like."

"Elle! Happy Halloween! Here's some Pumpkin flavor candy!"

"Happy Halloween to you too, Koemi! Hopes you will have a lot of candies! If you don’t, cast a trick to the persons too mingy!" Said the little witch, a hand holding a little stick whirling here and there in a endless loop.

"Prince Hakuryuu it's been a while."

"Oh, it’s you again, Miss Koemi. It’s just as you’ve said. It’s been quite a while since I’ve heard anything from you." He smiled lightly. "How have you been? I hope that you’re well."

"I heard a lot of great things about him from the people here. I thought I would see what he looks like." She told him and looked around the area. She has just finished her crepes, so she was hoping to see the king that everyone is talking about or at least the route to his castle. "I think Kings never goes out unless they need to be, so do you know the way to the castle?" (Thank you! Sorry something went wrong and I can't reblog the thread)

Richard smiled slightly at that. It never failed to bring some measure of relief, perhaps even joy to know that his people spoke kindly of him. It was a reassurance that he had not yet slipped from the path he was determined to walk this time. No matter how unjustified such opinions may be given all that the people did knot know about his mistakes, there was still a satisfaction that they too desire the peace he strove towards. That some measure of them might share in part his dream.

It was everything he had been blind to before.   

"Do they?" Richard chuckled. Her perception was more than justified; Richard was slowly learning that the manner he ruled was quite different from his predecessors. He simply could not see how he could hope to serve a people whom he knew nothing of.

"That must terribly cumbersome, a castle can get quite stuffy," he commented. "But if you wish to visit the castle, I can certainly show you the way." Richard gestured his hands towards the path northward. "This way."

"Trick or treat! Elle are you ready or Halloween?" she asked her.

"Ready to wear a mavelous costume for Halloween and receiving candies—! ~" Elle is indeed very excited to celebrate her first halloween here, among all her companions.

"Uh... Hi?" Why can't anything stay normal anymore? Really? Can't he go at least ONE day without anyone not from here asking where they are and how they can get back? Is that too much to ask?

But of course he didn't say that out loud.

Hi Richard! Would you like some crepes?

Richard looked up to find what was beginning to be a familiar face about the city. 

"Well hello again," he greeted. "Back for more crepes are you? You’ve travelled such a ways for them I couldn’t possibly take them from you. It’s very kind of you to offer, though. You enjoy them for yourself." 

"So is that what brings you back to Barona?"
