We present to you, âCarolina Story Christmasâ, a two song set including a cover of âChristmas Time is Hereâ and an original titled âNew Yearâs Eve.â We know that the kids have yet to go trick or treating and thereâs still turkeys living and breathing but we figured we could use some Christmas cheer a little early this year. Listen through the link in our bio âą We wanted to do two songs that moved chronologically from Christmas to the beginning of a new year and towards a fresh start. âCharlie Brown Christmasâ has always been one of our favorites as well as Vince Guaraldiâs soundtrack so we decided to put our own psychedelic spin on this Christmas classic. Weâve always considered New Yearâs Eve as an extension of Christmas and wanted to write a broader âHolidayâ song that captured the ups and downs of these uncertain times. It goes without saying that weâve all been through a lot this year. Weâve lost a lot but have hopefully gained some wisdom, strength and clarity on how to move forward. We wrote this song picturing the countdown from ten just before the stroke of midnight as 2020 draws to a close. We envisioned all of us gathered around a big old fireplace in one big living room in that moment, raising a glass to the past as we sing Auld Lang Syne, choosing to move forward together in love. We hope this brings you some joy.
