Tonight I went out for possibly the first time in months. I got to rekindle many friendships and connections- I started the night dancing salsa with an awesome new group of friends, before watching two of them put on an amazing performance. Later i linked back up with my old art partner painting Live at Tempe Art A Gogo, took in some art, live music and caught up with old homies and the underground art scene. Wound up finsihing up at Monarch theatre and Bar Smith, my nightlife home base of at least the last 10 years. I got to finally catch up of my oldest and best freinds in Phoenix, and Wound up touring their 5 bars with a celebrity producer, building w promoters, discussing live painting, mural opportunities, and a new venue while catching up and rekindling long dormant freindships with some of the biggest movers and shakers in Phoenix. Celebrating successes, catching up on family news and just being "back." Didn't have a sip of alcohol, didnt so much as see an ounce of drama, and didnt spend a dime. (Except for tips! Because you ALWAYS tip your bartenders.) I burned one ceremonial clove cigarette as offering to the night, while talking intuition, reincarnation, and technology with another Indigo Child, and shared blessing for upcoming ventures. Now I'm home curled up with my sketchbook... drawing, planning, and reflecting Until the early dawn.
