18 years ago! I made my veil and my dress was $20 from Love Me Two Times in Norwich, CT. We were photographed the next day by the same photographer my in-laws had for their wedding portraits. I tried to mimic my maternal grandmother's wedding bouquet. We were married at my father-in-law's fire department and went to a Chinese restaurant afterward. A month later on Memorial Day weekend, we had a "reception" in my mother's backyard. No honeymoon. Maybe someday we'll be able to afford a trip. 🤷🏻 As you can see, we had a 5 year-old daughter already. The flowers are hiding the small bump of the 2nd one on the way. We were planning to get married August 25th that year (the 7th anniversary of when we met)...until I got the news I'd be 8 months pregnant that day.
