Heels clacked along the linoleum of the top office, Madeline adjusting her glasses, looking quite no nonsense. Tomfoolery was frowned upon in this setting this was a profession corporation, and she would treat it as such.

"Get these files to Mrs. Elaine. All the business accounts need to be on top by Friday if we want to have our finances in order. I won't stand to having our stocks going down." The receptionist nodded and carried along her way.

Madeline came to the oak doors, brazenly letting herself inside the CEO's office. As his head secretary, she was allowed the privilege. Frankly, he only talked to others if they were about to be promoted or hired.

The room was dark, it was evening, but the sun hadn't set quite yet...she could see his silhouette in the chair.

"What do you need?"

It was a brisk sharp reply, almost clipped with impatiance. It was most likely close to THAT time, but really, couldn't he have NOT buzzed her several times in reminder?
