You may have seen the viral "Sunflower Theory" — the idea that sunflowers turn to face each other when the sun goes down.

It's a beautiful story. But it's not actually true.

What IS true is more interesting.

Young sunflowers track the sun all day — east to west, moving constantly. But when they reach maturity, they stop chasing.

They choose a direction — east, toward the light they know is coming — and they hold it. Permanently.

They don't follow every light source anymore. They face the one they trust.

Maturity isn't restlessness. It's orientation.

Know your light. Face it. Hold.

There’s only one person who knows everything about me ...they know why I have nightmares of my mother, they understand why I shake when peoples voices are too loud and why I can’t handle confrontations and why Im choosing to be alone ...I’m not ready to be in anything serious with anyone ...not any time soon...I’m not ready to open up to anyone about who I am and how I got like this ....there’s a ton of shit I survived dude and I’m not ready to let you in all that ...I’m not a sad story...I’m the hero. There’s a lot of stuff I look for and people think it makes me look like a dick with high standards but No bro ...I need to see how you get along with your parents,do you get sad at times,can i help, are you nice, can you be nice or produce random acts of kindness, do you get along with your siblings, when things go wrong how well can you maintain your stress, are you helpful towards your friends, are you nice to your mom, because if you’re rude to someone that close to you is that something I should expect towards me, how are you’re thinking skills, can you admit to fault, how understanding can you be, when you drink are you fun or do I have to hold you and watch you cry or do I defend my self( the last girl that was drunk near me bit me and I all I was doing was keeping her from abusing her boyfriend) when I do things that you don’t understand will you make fun of me for it and yell at me about me it and make me feel stupid or are you actually gonna be grown to explain it to me and laugh with me....do you wanna grow with me and have random adventures and pretend we’re in our own world or do you wanna do you and leave me completely oblivious and go about your day ....do you wanna stay ...or are you one those with a infatuation that soon fades once they find something they don’t like ...yea ....Im tired ...and I’d rather be alone
