Where do you publish your work?
I have some things posted on a few sites, such as Wattpad, AO3, Tumblr, and I share links to Goggle Drive documents as well. But only 0.01% of my work gets published. The rest gets shared in group chats or buried in my head.
What medium/application/etc do you write with?
I use a combination of Google Drive and Notes on my iPhone. This is so I can access my work on my Mac or Phone seamlessly. I scribble notes or a rough plot line on paper first and then take it from there.
Do you collaborate with others?
I’m in my first Bang right now, which is a collaboration between me, a writer, and an artist about my fic I’m currently writing. However I have co-written anything with someone yet, but I’d really like to!!
How much editing do you do before you publish?
It’s either no editing or intense editing. I wrote a poem to complement this story I’m in the middle of, and from the help of a friend, we edited that simple poem for a few hours to make it just right.
Do you listen to music when you write?
Sometimes!??? Depending on what part I’m writing really. If its something with major emotions and I want my reader to cry more often than not I’ll write in complete silence so my focus can sharpen.
How do you decide what to write about?
My friends. I write things with them or their favorite characters. Sometimes they ask and sometimes they don’t. But I find the most motivation when it’s for someone, plus ideas come easier to me when I’m thinking of a specific reader.
When I have the time. Sometimes its before bed, or while at work, or even during class. More often than not its during class (I’m a bad kid I know).
Do you take requests? Why or why not?
I do. I mean, as long as you’re okay with a bit of a wait and me asking some questions to make sure you get what you want. I like to write for others, I find it quite enjoyable.
Is there any genre or type of story you’d like to write but are hesitant to?
Historical. Because you need to stay really accurate to that time frame, so that involves research and all that jazz. I don’t think Its for me, but there are some eras of time that I think it would be great to write for, like the 1920′s or 1980′s for example.
Any inspirational quotes, videos, tricks, articles, etc. that help you stay motivated?
LOL MOTIVATION! Ah but really what keeps me the most motivated is knowing that someone cannot wait to read the next chapter, and the one after that. Which reminds me of a few fics I haven’t updated in over a year (Oops, ill get back to those soon!).
Go to page 7 of your WIP, skip to the 7th line and share 7 sentences.
Someone who is injured to such a degree they cannot function as a normal human being? No. That was not okay with me.
I shut down and didn’t answer him. I grabbed my bag and walked out of the class. “Chris?? Chris come back!” he called for me.
But he didn’t call for me then, he was calling for the Chris who could play baseball or at the very least be around baseball. But now….I wasn’t that anymore….I am nothing.
