To make a long story short, Mana had tried to track down poor Taonga, but his kidnapper had lost her quite easily. Perhaps she wasn’t as sneaky as she thought, or the eel was just that fast. Defeated, she made her way back to the cave. She was more careful this time, slowly creeping up to the entrance and scanning the chamber before calling out to the remaining crabling. “Huaka? A flash of gold and purple, and Huaka clung to Mana’s leg.
“I’m still here...” she mumbled as she looked up at the humanoid hopefully. “Where... where’s Taonga? Did you save him?”
