Reading this book as an adult has been an emotional undertaking. My dad used to read these to me when I was a kid and I didn’t remember them until I saw them out while thrifting awhile ago. Reading the very first page transported me back to being a little kid. I immediately started remembering details of the books and could almost hear my dad reading it to me. This September it will be 10 years since he died which seems like some great milestone or something. Seems like by now it should hurt a little less. These books are a treasure and I feel like discovering them again through thrifting is a special gift from my dad. Sorry for so much posting today.
