"I… I almost died this morning Pol. I messed up, and I know I can't just move past that. I should have done better- I should have supported you. Listened to you." His voice fell quiet.
Poly took a breath in and stepped closer again, finally placing a hand on Thespis's shoulder. "We all messed up. Melampus shouldn't have treated Atlas like that, Adonis shouldn't have betrayed us either, we all should have treated him better, and I should have supported you more. Given you the help you need too. But we're all learning and changing. That's what this whole thing has taught me. We're more than our mistakes."
Thespis stayed quiet for a moment before looking at Poly again, tears stinging against his eyes. "That's not fair on you. You lost your father too. We both should have been there more for each other."
"Maybe that's true. But I actually think dad would be proud of us. I think he'd be proud of how far you've made it. No. I know he would be so proud of your acting, your ability to recognise your mistakes, and...
