hey im having emotions beause Thcscus is writing Shrike in the passerine universe (and spoilers for passerine ig) Its about Dteam and good god we know how it ends. We know it ends with them all dead/separated. Falling prey to flaws and without the chance to start over because the wheel of stories is broken. And it just, it makes me so so sad.

I know everyone cried over passerine but at least some of them ended up happy. with Shrike its a prequel so we know that at the end its just going to be sad. And, i dunno I felel ike its gonna fall to the wayside because like obviously not everyone likes those characters as much in DSMP or in passerine. and aaaaaa. I need a hug

You feelings are so so valid because yeah, nobody really likes the characters. But at the same time, people want to know how this character got this far, how these character acted together. They want to know more.

And even if they don’t, Dreblr & me and you do. And here’s to hoping that the entire thing is happy you know. Or close to it.

Yo with how much you've been discussing Loki Grandmaster. If Loki (for some reason) cast a spell to make people's hate for him reverse for a day, would you think the grandmaster's attitude would read the same? I think it would, dude did favor him but was also ready to execute him within a day

Yeah, I don’t...think the Grandmaster would change at all. Because I don’t think he either likes or hates Loki - his attitude is more...”this thing is mine and it’s fun to play with! in all kinds of ways.” 

That’s the thing about the Grandmaster - he just doesn’t really think of people as people. They’re all...toys. His to play with and break as he wants. And when his toys don’t do what he wants, then, well...they get thrown out, and there are always other ones. And he’s fickle enough that that can happen very fast, and it can be as small an offense as just being boring.

Loki’s an especially fun one, but that doesn’t mean he’s not ultimately disposable just like anyone else.

Yo I saw you answered a dragon age ask recently and you definitely 100% reignited my interest in finally finishing that series. On a related note, how would you have felt if Marvel made a dragon age/elder scrolls style rpg set on Asgard/in the nine realms?

ahh, enjoy! it’s one of my favorite video game series of all time, warts and all. (though I will say I’ve...largely steered clear of the fandom, it scares me.)

as far as Marvel making an RPG game...I feel like my depressing answer is “I don’t trust them to do the worldbuilding that would be required to make it good.” like, I’m not in Marvel for the worldbuilding, which is good, because they’re pretty bad at it (especially in the movies) - and that’s fine! it’s just not the priority for the story that’s being told. but if you’re going to make an RPG style game...you need to have that worldbuilding in place, particularly for something like Elder Scrolls which is open-world, but even the earlier Dragon Age games other than Inquisition are still...

basically if you were going to make a Marvel RPG that wasn’t set on Earth (which is the kind I’d want to play, personally - a Marvel RPG set on Earth in the current day just...doesn’t particularly interest me) you need some worldbuilding, and I don’t know how well Marvel would do at that. (or, and...a little shade here, character work, for that matter, which is also an important thing for a good RPG.)

the thing is, the closest analog to a video game genre for the MCU that I can think of is a game that’s really built around combat (those big action scenes!) which...you can make an RPG that way, but it doesn’t tend to be the kind I want to play, and I don’t think makes the best RPGs either.

basically the tl;dr is: if it was announced, I’d be listening but skeptical.
