She had heard of Asgard before. The name was in tales of old, books she had read long ago now withering away on the dusted shelves of the library. After her partners death, she found herself wandering both in mind and body. She traveled the galaxy, encountering different people, different beings. The other realms were something she had heard of, their beauty irreplaceable. They Midgard paled in comparison; its humans were no match to the Gods.
Those of Asgard.
She spent some time trying to research the place, but Midgard was shielded from the information. Best not to scare the populous, that was their reasoning. Few accepted the reality that Gods existed, despite the hard, factual evidence handed to them. All of this information spewed out when Loki attacked―
Loki.
Where was he now, in Asgard's prisons? Dead? The curiosity ate away at her like flies towards a rotting piece of food. Why not visit? It was not as if he could do any harm to her― or so she thought.
An immortal with human limits. The most useless thing in the universe. With one shot of a gun she could easily be taken down for a lengthy amount of time. With a powerful pulse of magic she could fall to her knees. In her mind, none of this could ever happen. She thought of herself as too strong, too powerful for anybody to make her crumble.
She just hadn't had that experience yet.
She hadn't experienced many things yet. All that she knew was some love, some pain, and a bit of stressed mixed in the middle. All of that blended together created her, the immortal child. And like a child, she only thought with the utmost positivity. Endless experiences, endless wonders. Oh the things she had awaiting her all seemed bright like the sun! A shining star that seemed like it would never go out.
But all flames go out, and all innocence gets lost at some point in life, does it not?
Aura managed to find her way inside the realm, something called the Bifrost. What a peculiar name it was to her, its colors streaming and shining like a newly born rainbow in the sky. She walked along it like a little girl, skip in her step. Her luster could be seen by anyone who turned their head to her. Such excitement to see something new, something beautiful. She could even see the tall, golden pillars of Asgard, their exquisite artistry catching her eye.
And like a small girl, she was impervious to what went on in that alluring castle.
