No, all the data is there and fine. The HD is actually good, nothing wrong with that. It’s the logic board and other components that need replacing, so to get it fixed I’d need to shell out almost $1,000. They said it’s not worth it since the model is 6 years old.

The problem is that it won’t turn on at all so if I get another Mac I can bring it in and for a lovely fee of $100 they’ll transfer all my stuff from the old one to the new. So generous of them.

we're 50/50 here! salty at the cinema for sure, but at home? anyone's guess. i grew up with mum covering popcorn with butter and icing sugar, while a friend grew up with their mum only ever making it spicy with curry spices. popcorn: the great equaliser

Icing sugar?! That is interesting. I wouldn’t be able to have that on my popcorn, but to each their own.
