Who: @jadziaxveri Where: Art supply store in Lafayette Square When: Tuesday morning
“I found it when I was looking for an Italian bistro one of the regulars at the bar told me about,” Cian explained as he and Jadzia walked down the sidewalk. Lafayette Square was probably the neighborhood he was least familiar with on the island, living and working elsewhere, but it was beneficial to know the entirety of the island. “Never did find it, but I stumbled across this place, and I thought you might enjoy a shopping trip,” he added, turning to offer a rare genuine smile to his sister. He didn’t care much for traveling, despite seeing dozens of different countries over the course of his life. But the one thing that made traveling worth it was seeing the way his sister enjoyed news things, new places, and the way her eyes lit up when they stumbled upon something she found particularly exciting.
“Here,” he stopped in front of an art supply store, bright signs in the windows and on a chalkboard on the sidewalk advertising various brands of paints and decor items for sale. “I did promise you that we’d stay here for a while,” a promise he’d made reluctantly, and knowing he may have to break if anything in his past were to catch up to them. “So I thought, perhaps we could set up an art studio for you in one of the spare rooms.”
