What some people don't understand about what happened in the Walking Dead premier is that those two deaths were not meaningless and it was more than just unnecessary violence. The first death (I'm not saying who just in case there's someone out there who hasn't seen it yet and doesn't want spoilers) had to happen because it was Negan's way of punishing the group for killing so many of his men in season 6. The reason he killed the second person was because Daryl hit him. I believe it was Negan's way of saying "your actions affect the whole group, and since you hit me, I'm gonna bash someone else's brains in too." And as for these deaths being a form of unnecessary violence, what else did you expect from this show? They have shown people getting their guts ripped out, their flesh being torn up by walkers, dead children or children dying, walkers with flesh hanging off their bones, people getting their throats slit, cannibalism, Carl killing his mom after she gives birth to Judith, the Governor cutting off Hershel's head. To me, these people getting their heads bashed in, is the same as when Oberyn Martell got his head crushed by The Mountain's bare hands on Game of Thrones. If you've been a fan of the show during all 6 seasons and have been through all the violence and gore this show has to offer and THIS is what makes you stop watching the show? Really? I think it's just a lot of people are upset that THAT happened to these beloved characters. If you're a fan of the show, mourn the deaths of these two characters, move on, and come back for the next episode like we always do when there's a death on the show. Also, it's the first episode of the new season people, come on! Give it a chance. I think it was an awesome episode and everyone did an amazing acting job.
