"M'kay." He continued with the Apple, taking Bite, sometimes two and then handing it back to Bobby as if it were the most natural thing in the world. As if he had always shared his things with Bobby. No. He could never give Bobby up. No matter what happened to him. "You wanna stay here? I'll go get us a mattress, blankets, pillows, we can sleep here." Again, he rubbed his fingers against Bobby's hand. "Sound good?"
After a long silence, Bobby moved. He wound up in Shawn's lap, curled up there, head tucked under Shawn's chin. "Here," he agreed. And then, softer, "Here," taking Shawn's hand and pressing it against his chest.
There was the click of a door and Bobby jerked back, eyes wide, to see that Logan had left them alone.
Slowly he relaxed again. "Dad is gone now."
